It's Homecoming Week so there are lots of activities to take in this week.

Students in Grade 6 and below are not permitted to attend events alone. They must have supervision.

📢 The Pep Rally and Coronation on Tuesday, October 8 @ 1:30 PM
At this time the 2025–26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form will be available to the public on Dec. 1, 2024. Currently, as of Oct. 1, 2024, a few participants are beta testing the platform for 2025-2026. HOWEVER, the form is not available for the general population to fill out at this time.
I know that as parents and students we are all anxious to ensure FASFA forms are filled out as soon as possible and we have become accustomed to this being available to us at the start of October. Please know that all colleges and universities are well aware of this delay and will make any needed adjustments within their own procedures to also accommodate this delay. Students will not be held or denied admission due to this delay, it however may take universities longer to respond with financial support information with the submission timeline being pushed back.
Please be patient as we all work our best with the federal systems unique timetable.
You can prepare ahead of time by going to studentaid.gov and reviewing the documents that will be required for the completion of the 2025-26 FASFA. This will help ensure that the application process when available can be completed smoothly.

Start Time: 2:30 PM on Friday
Line-Up Location: Starts at the little school, wraps around the street by Jensens, and around the back of the old little school lot
Parade Route:
From the little school to the square
Then back to the hospital
Ending at the little school.
Lineup Order:
Police, Firefighters, Ambulance
Machinery and Big Vehicles
Businesses and Any Other Single Floats
Homecoming Court
Band (if there is a float)
Class Floats: Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors

Dear Parents - Please know that if your child plans to attend any secondary institution, they must fill out a FAFSA. KPS is here to help. Mrs. Clark is here on Thursdays if you have any questions.
KPS needs substitute teachers. If interested, please apply to obtain your substitute teaching license through the Department of Public Instruction and the Education Standards and Practices Board.

Thursday from 10am-11am Seniors will take part in College Application day. This time allows students to apply to one North Dakota University without needing to pay the application fee. Students may apply to additional schools during this time as well, but have a free application code for one college or university. Minot State University will have a representative present Thursday as well to support students applying. This opportunity is brought to us thanks to the Bank of North Dakota.
Attention High School Parents - Jim Upgren from the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction will be here Wednesday afternoon to review Choice Ready requirements with the high school students. He's also willing to stay until 5:00 pm to host a session for parents. Please let me know if you would like to attend one of these sessions to learn how your child can become Choice Ready and earn the state scholarship. I do not want him to have to stick around until the evening if we do not have interested parents. Thank you!

On Saturday the Honkers C-Squad volleyball team defended their home court and took home the Kenmare-Bowbells C-Squad Tournament Championship!
The 7th grade volleyball team traveled to DLB where they also took home the Championship!
Great job Honkers, keep working hard and having fun!
🏆The Honkers took home 1st place in the Varsity Women's and Varsity Men's Divisions!🏆
