The Kenmare speech team wrapped up their regular season at the Burke Central Invitational in Lignite on Saturday, March 29th. It was a good competition, and our speakers did very well. Our new state qualifiers are Avery Sieg and Aurora Lach who tied for 1st in Humorous Interp. Maggi Gill qualified for a second time in Speech to Entertain.
The placings are as follows:
Humorous Interp: Aurora Lach and Avery Sieg - Tied for 1st (State Qualifying)
Speech to Entertain: Maggi Gill 1st (SQ), Callie Stroklund 2nd, Mackenzie Huizenga 6th
Storytelling: Mersadie Miller 3rd

The Kenmare Speech Team continued their regular season of Saturday tournaments with an appearance at the Velva Invitational Meet. Twenty four schools were in attendance for this competition on Saturday, March 15th. We added another student to our group of state qualifiers.
The results are as follows:
Speech to Entertain: Callie Stroklund 1st State Qualifying, Mackenzie Huizenga 6th
Storytelling: Anna Petersen and Drew Houck tied for 1st, both State Qualifying
Radio Broadcasting: Drew Houck 1st State Qualifying
Humorous Duo: Aurora and Ezekiel Lach 4th, Avery Sieg and Callie Stroklund 5th, Maggi Gill and Mackenzie Huizenga 7th
Serious Duo: Roxanne Quigley and Anna Petersen 2nd, Chloe Ethen and Reese Fontaine 8th.
The next competition is Saturday, March 29th at the Burke Central school in Lignite. This is our last invitational before regionals which is scheduled for April 12th in Stanley.
