Dear Families - Please see the following letter addressing our active shooter training. This is a difficult topic to discuss but I feel it is important to keep you all informed on training used by staff. There will be more information to come home on the different levels of information we provide to your students. Your children's safety is the most important thing to KPS. Please talk to your children about being safe at school and everywhere else. Tell them if they see something they feel is not quite right to tell an adult right away. KPS is excited to share an opportunity coming for our students this fall. We've been working with the Kenmare Area Ministerial Association to bring awareness to students and the community to encourage positive and healthy life choices. Chris will be here to do an event for our students and surrounding area community students at 1:00 pm on September 4, 2024. He'll also do a community event that evening following a meal at 6:30 pm. 🚨REMINDER🚨 ALL Honker student-athletes need a sports physical if you plan on participating in a sport during the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This applies to all students in grades 5-12. WELCOME BACK HONKERS! Registration will be held on August 5th and 6th AUGUST 5th High school students: 11th and 12th grade will register from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, and 9th and 10th graders will register from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. AUGUST 6th Middle school students: 6th through 8th grade will register from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Elementary students may register during any of the above-listed times. Enjoy the rest of your summer!
