High School Students of the Month for January
Avery Sieg, daughter of Eric and Candace Sieg, has been named Student of the Month to represent grades 6/7/8.
Avery is very active, participating in student council, FBLA, basketball, volleyball, softball, drama and speech. She is very proud of achieving good grades, loves her teammates and is proud of how far she has progressed in sports.
“Education is important to me because I want a good future and not be clueless about life!” stated Avery. Her future goals are to be smart, well-educated, attend a good college, be successful and have her dream job!
As a freshman, MaKaya Jensen has been named student of the month. The daughter of Tabaya and Scott Jensen, MaKaya has been involved in volleyball, basketball and softball.
She is very proud of earning an A on her math test! She also has realized, “education is important to me because you cannot be dumb in the real world.”
MaKaya’s future goal is to become a child psychologist and make it to State when she is a senior for volleyball.
To represent the junior/senior student of the month, the teaching staff selected Ashe Hall, daughter of Dawn Chandler and Rich Hall.
Ashe has been involved in speech and yearbook and is proud she has competed in speech for the past four years.
Education is important to Ashe because “it builds character within yourself and many teachers teach more than just a lesson, they teach about life.” Ashe wants to graduate from college, make it into film editing and be a part of producing “films that we know and love”!

The staff at Kenmare Public School would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year 🥳
We hope this year's season fills you up with the things that mean the most to you and energizes you for a happy and healthy New Year!

Mrs. Mibeck's applied science class has been learning about many different science concepts as they related to cooking. Their skills were put to the test today in a "Chopped" challenge. Dawson Redding, Caleb Knutson, and Ryan Schoemer each received an egg, bread crumbs, and chicken thighs. They had to use all three ingredients to prepare a meal in 35 minutes. They were allowed to use any additional ingredients, but had to use all three "required" ingredients, just as the participants do in the TV show "Chopped". The judges for the contest agreed that all three participants made delicious chicken, but the sides on Ryan's dish pushed him over the edge to claim the championship.
Caleb's dish "Chicken and Eggs"
Dawson's Dish "Chicken Zest"
Ryan's Dish "The Crunch"
