KPS has frequent early outs on Wednesdays to dedicate time to professional development for our staff. On Wednesday, Chief Hall did a table top discussion with the staff at KPS and some dedicated community volunteers about safety for fire, bomb threat, or active shooter. Thank you Chief Hall for leading this event and dedicating so much time to keeping our school and community safe. Thank you to everyone else who volunteered their time and attended: Mayor Arlen Gartner, Kenmare Ambulance, Kenmare Fire Department, and the City of Kenmare. KPS is blessed to be in a community that is dedicated to keeping us safe.

Any left over inventory from pre-orders will be sold at the event. Pre-Orders can’t be picked by individuals. All Pre-Orders must be placed by Tuesday the 15th at 11pm. Good luck to the Honkers in this weeks Region 8 Volleyball Tournament at Tioga High School on November 7th, 8th, and 10th. The Honkers who are District 16 #1 seed will take on District 15 #4 Alexander in the first round at 3pm on Monday, November 7th. All games are scheduled to be broadcasted on the NFHS Network (Tioga High School).

🎬Today the Kenmare Drama team placed 4th at Regionals at Williston High School. 🎭Britton Matejovsky was named Honorable Mention for his acting. 🎭William Cook and Diontrea Anderson were awarded Superior Acting Awards. Congrats Kenmare Drama!

Congrats to Mashae Miller of the Honkers Cross Country Team on being awarded All-State Status from the North Dakota High School Coaches Association in Girls Cross Country. Mashae is the 1st Honkers Cross Country runner to receive this award and placing 4th in state is the highest finish for the Honkers as well.

📖NAEP results show a slight decline but this was expected after the pandemic. Kenmare uses Star testing for progress monitoring.📝 “No one assessment or measure can accurately measure student learning or the performance of the state or a school district,” he said. “These NAEP results are the fifth data point we have received regarding North Dakota students’ learning recovery trends since classes resumed in the fall of 2020. Congrats to the Honkers on their perfect 5-0 record during regular season play in District 16 and being crowned the District 16 Regular Season Champions. The Honkers will begin postseason play on Friday, October 28th at Tioga High School starting at 5:30pm. Good luck Honkers!
