
Friday October 22nd the Burke Central/Kenmare Panthers traveled to Jamestown for the Class B State Cross Country Meet. The Varsity Boys had 311 runners and they placed 17th out of 36 teams. The Varsity Girls had 263 runners and they placed 16th out of 26 teams.

Attention Cross Country, Girls Golf, and Volleyball Parents! Tomorrow Tuesday, October 19th will be the final home matches of the season for the Honkers. With it being our final home match we would like to honor our seniors and their families immediately after the JV match (Approximately 6:30pm). All seniors in CROSS COUNTRY, GIRLS GOLF, AND VOLLEYBALL will be honored. A letter has been sent home with each of the seniors involved, if you have any questions or concerns please contact Mr Keysor. Also this evening the Honkers Booster Club will be providing each family who has a son or daughter in cross country, girls golf, and volleyball a coupon for the concession stand. Best of luck to all students involved, and a huge thank you to our seniors and their families for all their time and dedication to the Cross Country, Girls Golf, and Volleyball Programs.


📆Honker Happenings October 18th-23rd!📆


Mrs. Zimmer’s 7th grade physical education class explored one of the many hiking trails on the refuge, Munch’s Coulee. A compass and geographic lesson accompanied the hike to the top.




🚨EARLY RELEASE TOMORROW🚨 Reminder that October 13th is an early dismissal! Elementary is dismissed at 1:15 and high school at 1:30.


Congrats to the JH football team on an outstanding season on the field. The Kenmare-Bowbells-Burke Central Honkers went 6-0 on the season, out scoring their opponents 254-12. The Honkers averaged 42 points a game while only giving up an average of 2 points per game.
Thank you and congrats to all the coaches, students, and parents for all you have accomplished this season.

The Burke Central/Kenmare Panthers attended the Western Regional Championship in Bismarck on Saturday October 9. Mason Chrest (24th overall) ran his fastest time this year and 13 others had all time personal records!

The Honkers took home the NW Conference Tournament Championship held in Ray defeating the DLB Lakers!


3rd place finish at the L&C Berthold 8th Grade Volleyball Tournament today. The Honkers went 4-1 overall.

Mrs. Zimmer’s 7th grade physical education class has been having class at the Kenmare Country Club. Mrs. Zimmer hopes to do other activities in the outdoors, even during the winter months!




This Friday, October 8th will be the final home game of the season for the K-B-BC Honkers football team as they host the L&C Berthold Bombers. Since it is our final home game of the season we will be honoring our seniors before the game around 6:40pm. All senior football players & stats were given a letter last week with directions, if you have any questions please contact Mr. Keysor. Before the game please find Mr. Scherbenske or Mr. Keysor as they will have coupons for concessions for all families who have players or stats on the football team.
