NDHSAA update for winter sports:
Governor Burgum's office announced Wednesday, November 18, 2020 they will issue an amended order that will allow practices to resume for high school winter sports and association, community and club sports for youth and adults starting Nov. 30. The change comes after daily consultation and collaboration between the governor and legislative leaders, constructive input from the North Dakota High School Activities Association and athletic associations, and feedback from numerous legislators, parents, school administrators, students, coaches, mental health professionals, and others concerned about the impacts of suspended activities on students’ well-being.
A link to recently updated NDHSAA FAQs related to the current winter sports suspension are available on the link below:

Please remember things can and probably will change throughout the winter season, thanks for your patience and understanding.

Due to our amazing Honker Nation Girls’ VB team making it to the state tournament, I’ve decided to close school on Thursday and Friday so that staff, students, families, and friends can attend the tournament without any worries about taking time off from school. We have more than enough hours built into our school calendar to accommodate these two days without having to worry about making them up. My hopes are this will help our extremely crazy year seem more normal. GO HONKERS!
Dr. Godfrey

In Advanced English 11, we read Homer's Odyssey. The students were tasked with creating a game that could teach the other English 11 class about the book (English 11 read the Iliad). With a partner, they devised a game that accurately incorporated at least 10 plot events and aspects of the Tragic Hero pattern. They did phenomenal work! We played the games in class so they could see how other students completed the task, and we'll play them in English 11 later this week.

Dear Parents,
Today, both schools went into soft lockdown due to an individual in the area who is not allowed in the building. Please know that these measures are to protect your children and keep them safe. While the doors are locked and the campus is closed for the day, instruction and learning will continue as normal. Thank you for your patience and understanding and especially, thank you for your support.
