🥳HONKERS HEADED TO STATE🥳 On Thursday September 18 the Honkers competed for the 2025 Region 6 title at Edgewater Country Club in NewTown. 43 Golfers from the Region participated on a cool day for golf. 🎟️HEADED TO STATE🎟️ 🏆Region Champions DLB 327 🥈2nd Place Kenmare-Bowbells 369 🥉3rd Place Williams County 383 Top 3 team earned a trip to the State Golf tournament on September 29th & 30th at Pheasant Country Golf Course in South Heart. All Region Honors go to the top 10 individuals, who will also be making a trip to the State Golf tournament. 1st Laila Christianson DLB 71 2nd Ella Pearson DLB 77 3rd McKenna Mau Kenmare-B 82 4th Lauryn Christianson DLB 84 5th Ava Wallin Williams County 85 6th Brooke Livingston KB 90 7th Sharon Osteroos DLB 95 8th Ava Walen DLB 96 9th tie Piper Zieman Garrison 97 9th Tie Cami Knutson KB 97 Region Senior Athletes of the Year for Region 6 are McKenna Mau of KB & Ava Wallin of Williams County. They will both be in the running for All State Senior Athlete of Class B Golf. Region Coach of the year goes to Marie Burckhard DLB. Other Honker Scores: 15th Charlotte Brekhus 100 17th Rylee Hedberg 101 19th Emma Sandberg 106 Other schools participating Stanley, Garrison, Divide County, MLS, NewTown and Whiteshield.

The city council met to discuss the parking area and has determined that the no-parking area will be enforced. Parking is not permitted on the east side of the street in front of the school. When cars are parked along that side of the road, it makes it very difficult for buses to pass through. Thank you for being considerate of our bus drivers.

However, the forecasted rain and thunderstorms stayed away, so everyone stayed dry and little to no winds! On Friday September 12th the JV and Jr High Honkers competed at DLB Wildwood Golf Course in Burlington. This is a 9 hole competition. The JV had a field of 16 Golfers K/B Mersadie Miller shot a 51 for 4th place. The Jr High meet had 24 golfers, Kenmare/Bowbells had a team of Natasha Brekhus shot a 46 for a 1st place tie with Emory Williams who a carded 46 PR as well Brooke Peterson carded a 47 PR for 3rd place Acelyn Pfeifer shot a 48 PR for 4th place The Jr High Honkers placed as a team 1st with an 187 2nd place team DLB 210 3rd place team MLS 242 Always a great day to be a Honker!
