This November, our KPS students are putting thankfulness into action!
We’re collecting non-perishable food and holiday meal items for the Kenmare Food Pantry to help local families enjoy a warm Thanksgiving meal.
📦 Donation boxes are located at the front doors of the school by the auditorium and in elementary classrooms - drop off your items now through Wednesday, November 19th!
🛒 Suggested Donations:
🥫 Canned goods (vegetables, fruit, soup, gravy, cranberry sauce)
🍝 Boxed meals, pasta, rice, instant potatoes, or mac & cheese
🥧 Baking supplies (flour, sugar, oil, pie filling, cake mixes, frosting, butter, biscuit mix)
🍗 Heatable or frozen turkey dinners (we have freezer space for storage!)
🧃 Snacks, cereal, and shelf-stable pantry items
💳 Grocery store gift cards (for families to purchase fresh items)
🥘 Disposable aluminum pans (for families to cook or transport meals)
Every donation makes a difference — no matter how big or small. Let’s show what it means to be a Honker for Humanity and help every family in our community have a warm, thankful holiday. 💛
Elementary classrooms will have their own boxes, and the classroom with the most will receive a pizza party after Thanksgiving! 🍕

It’s getting cold outside, and students will continue to go out for recess whenever possible. Please be sure your child comes to school with proper cold-weather gear each day, including:
🧥 Warm jackets
🧤 Gloves or mittens
🧣 Hats
👉 To help avoid mix-ups, we recommend labeling all items with your child’s name. Our lost and found fills up quickly, and labeled gear makes it much easier to return items to the right owner!

💰 Fee: $50 per person (valid Oct. 24, 2025 – Aug. 31, 2026)
📋 To Sign Up: Fill out the Gym/Weight Room Agreement Form in the High School Office and return it with payment.
🔑 Access: Jackie Rockeman will contact you when your fob is ready for pickup.
🕒 Hours of Use:
School Year: Weekdays 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM | Weekends 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Summer: Hours vary due to maintenance schedules
