📆 Save the Date! 🧑‍💻 👩‍💻 Kenmare Elementary will be hosting a Family Code Camp on September 26th from 5:30-7:00. The event will be geared toward PreK-5 students - Other family members are welcome! Join us for an evening of dinner and guided coding. 🤖 One lucky winner will be drawn to take home a coding robot! 👀 Keep an eye out for registration at a later date.

🤩Thanks to William Cook for initiating our first fire drill of the year! It went great and our students and staff did amazing. Safety for your children is most the most important! 🔥🚒🧯

🎵👩🏼‍🏫 Kirsten Baesler will be visiting KPS as a part of her tour of schools for the ND Teacher of the Year Finalists. To celebrate her visit and finalist status, Mrs. Harris-Nelson and her elementary students will be hosting a celebratory assembly which will include students sharing a song. We are so proud of the work that Mrs. Harris-Nelson has done and continues to do with our students. 🎵👩🏼‍🏫 We would like to welcome the public to attend the assembly and elementary music presentation in the gym on Friday, August 30th at 1:00. Students in grades 3-5 will be singing on the choir risers, all other students will be seated in the stands. We ask that visitors sit in the upper level bleachers if able.

Parents of students in grades 6-12. First District Health Unit is holding a back-to-school immunization clinic on Wednesday, September 11th, at the Kenmare School. Letters have been mailed out to parents letting them know what immunizations their child needs. Please complete the consent form and return it to the school by Wednesday, September 4th. Parents can call Melissa Burud at 701-385-4328 with any questions. Thank you!

🩷🏐Presley Zeltinger, a senior on the Kenmare-Bowbells Honkers volleyball team has been selected to be a National Dig Pink Ambassador for the Side-Out Foundation. Presley is 1 of 25 Ambassadors in the Nation. The Side-Out Foundation helps people with breast cancer regain control of their lives - and we started our fundraising efforts through the sport of volleyball. Since 2005, the Side-Out Foundation has been focused on a single goal: to help people living with metastatic breast cancer (MBC) see more tomorrows. The Side-Out Ambassador Program allows students the unique opportunity to become the voice of Side-Out. By using their platform on social media and within their community, influencers work to amplify the Side-Out message and educate our research efforts. Through this unique program, students gain valuable leadership experience, connect with other change-makers and student leaders, all while leading their schools Dig Pink initiative and impacting the world around them. Congrats Presley! You make KPS proud!

On Wednesday, September 25th at 7 pm the Tolly Fire Department will be sponsoring the showing of "Suicide: The Ripple Effect" at the Kenmare Movie Theater. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children.
