Join the Des Lacs National Wildlife Refuge for the Haunted Trail on Wednesday, October 9th! The trail will be open from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Come and go as you please. Younger children are encouraged to come earlier during the event. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

🚔 🚒 🚑 Dear First Responders, We would like to invite you to join us at the Kenmare-Bowbells homecoming football game this Friday, October 11th at 7:00 p.m. for a special recognition during the National Anthem. Our communities want to take this opportunity to honor you for your unwavering dedication and service to our local areas and the surrounding communities across the state. Please line the field at 6:55 p.m., as the National Anthem will take place shortly after. Your hard work and commitment are deeply appreciated, and we want to express our gratitude for everything you do. All first responders are welcome, including but not limited to members of the Tolley Fire Department, Donnybrook Fire Department, Kenmare Fire Department, Bowbells Fire Department, Ambulance services, and Police departments. In addition, there will be a donation bucket at the concession stands, with all proceeds going directly to support Ray’s Fire Department. At this time the 2025–26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form will be available to the public on Dec. 1, 2024. Currently, as of Oct. 1, 2024, a few participants are beta testing the platform for 2025-2026. HOWEVER, the form is not available for the general population to fill out at this time. I know that as parents and students we are all anxious to ensure FASFA forms are filled out as soon as possible and we have become accustomed to this being available to us at the start of October. Please know that all colleges and universities are well aware of this delay and will make any needed adjustments within their own procedures to also accommodate this delay. Students will not be held or denied admission due to this delay, it however may take universities longer to respond with financial support information with the submission timeline being pushed back. Please be patient as we all work our best with the federal systems unique timetable. You can prepare ahead of time by going to studentaid.gov and reviewing the documents that will be required for the completion of the 2025-26 FASFA. This will help ensure that the application process when available can be completed smoothly. Thank you Mrs. Clark

https://bnd.nd.gov/cam/ Thursday from 10am-11am Seniors will take part in College Application day. This time allows students to apply to one North Dakota University without needing to pay the application fee. Students may apply to additional schools during this time as well, but have a free application code for one college or university. Minot State University will have a representative present Thursday as well to support students applying. This opportunity is brought to us thanks to the Bank of North Dakota.
