🏅Congratulations to the Elementary Students of the Month 🏅
March's character is Empathy.

📣 High School Students of the Month for March 📣
Representing the junior and senior class for March Student of the Month, Brea Chrest was nominated by the teaching staff for this honor. Brea is the daughter of Denise and Marshall Chrest and is a junior at KHS.
While in high school, Brea has been active with volleyball, basketball, FFA, FBLA and Acalympics. “I am proud to have participated in such successful teams while attending Kenmare High School.” Brea feels that not only do the activities showcase the talents within the school, but also the character of the participants. “The trophies, plaques and medals we have won are not what is remembered; the love for the game and the representation of sportsmanship matter the most.”
Education for Brea is what she will use for the rest of her life. “Educated individuals are empowered to embrace opportunities and create a better world for themselves and others.” Brea’s future goal is to graduate high school with a continued 4.0 GPA and pursue a degree in nursing while possibly playing collegiate volleyball.
Jacob Zorn, son of Jen and Chad Zorn, was selected as Student of the Month for grades 9 and 10. As a freshman, Jacob has already been active in football, basketball, track and envirothon. Jacob is proud of “being a part of the sport teams and representing my school and community.”
Jacob feels education is important, “so when I am older, I can get a good job that I love and succeed in whatever my life goal might be.”
As a future goal, Jacob hopes to make it to State in basketball. He also would like to attend wildlife school to obtain his future career goal.
As a sixth grader, Mackenzie Huizenga was voted as Student of the Month for March to represent classes 6/7/8. Mackenzie is the daughter of Becky and Byron Huizenga. As a sixth grader, she has participated in the Math Meet. Mackenzie is proud to have been a member of the math meet team but also that she has fun during school.
Education is important to Mackenzie because she knows that she will need to learn many different things that will help make her successful.
Her future goal is to become a successful author/writer when she is older. (We will be looking for that Pulitzer Prize novel someday!)
