Enjoy the end of summer vacation as fall sports and activities are picking up in full swing.

Dear Parents and Families - Family engagement is important to Kenmare Public School. Engagement does not require you to be at the school for every event. It can be as simple as asking your child what they learned in school each day. This will also help students with comprehension. Family Engagement is a North Dakota Initiative. Here are the state survey results:
In the spring of 2023, the NDDPI partnered with research consultants at Gallup to survey North Dakota K-12 public school families statewide. This was offered in English and Spanish and administered in all eight regions of our state. Consultants helped lead the research, analysis, and reporting phases of the NDDPI family engagement study. The survey question themes cover various topics, including general questions, curriculum, student support, safety in schools, communication, and assessment perceptions.
Information is power and we hope this study will provide valuable feedback as you strive toward excellence with Family Engagement in your school district. We have provided a link below to the NDDPI-Gallup Family Engagement Study report, which shows an overview of the key findings in school-family partnerships, parents’ perceptions of academic progress, and optimizing the school environment.

Hello KPS -
Here is the calendar for the 23-24 school year!

KPS has openings! Please join our team!

Dear Parents -
Today the high school received a phone call with a "warning" of some sort of "Hostile Invasion" to find "Sanctuaries." The call came from a younger adolescent voice. With me (Mrs. Hennix) being out of the loop, I did have the doors locked and the police present since I wasn't familiar with the terms and I have staff on building grounds. Mrs. Froseth did some research and it looks as if this is a game that adolescents are playing when they enter a public area or building searching for "Sanctuaries." Please be aware in case your children are playing this because these short warning phone calls are taken very seriously, especially in public places. Though I think the purpose is harmless, we cannot have people pranking the school with phone calls nor can we have people entering without intention.
Thank you,
Alex Hennix
