🎥 NOVEL CLASS FIELD TRIP 🎥 ✏️ Mrs. Zimmer's Novel Class toured the KMOT television station in Minot this morning. The students experienced a typical day for a reporter with behind-the-scenes access. 🎙️ They also learned the steps from pitching a story idea to that idea being broadcasted on the air.

🤩DECEMBER HS STUDENTS OF THE MONTH🤩 Congratulations to our high school students of the month for December! The student of the month for grades 6-8 was nominated by the teaching staff.

JH (Grades 7-8) BOYS BASKETBALL: Practice begins on Monday, January 2nd from 9-11am at KHS Gym. Coach Helwig wasn’t able to have meetings with all Kenmare-Bowbells students to get practice schedules out because of storm last week. If practice says “@ Hall” this means practice will run from approximately 3:45pm-5:45pm at the Kenmare Memorial Hall. At this time mini-bus #10 (Mrs. Schmidt) will transport students to the hall for those who need a ride, if we become over capacity then we will find an alternative transportation solution. To get practice schedule: 1) Go to https://www.kenmare.k12.nd.us 2) Click on “Menu” 3) Scroll down to “Athletics” 4) Click on “Practice Schedule” 5) If you want to add to your google calendar click the “+” in the bottom right hand of the calendar Also please send a copy of your child’s athletic physical to kkeysor1@mykps.us if it hasn’t been turned in yet. Athletic fees can be paid by contacting the KHS office, both of these items need to be completed before your child can participate in practices/games. KPS has identified critical attributes of a graduate through our strategic planning process. The KPS school board and team of stakeholders that developed the strategic plan feel students should possess these attributes after graduating from Kenmare Public School.

Brenna represented KPS at the student council convention through her roll as a NDHSAA Distinguished Student. They presented to junior high students about collaboration. Great job, Brenna! 👏

🚨Distance Learning: Friday Dec. 16🚨 Dear KPS Families: due to the current blizzard warning, no travel advised, expected snow, and forecasted high winds, a decision has been made to keep both schools closed tomorrow, December 16, and continue with distance learning. We have several out-of-town staff and students, and we must prioritize the safety of all. Thank you for your understanding this week. We hope everyone is staying safe and warm.
