🏆STATE SPEECH RESULTS🏆
Congratulations to those who participated in the State Class B Speech Tournament this past weekend at Mandan High School. We had 3 students who competed in 4 events. At this high level of competition, they did a great job representing our school and region, not only in their speaking abilities, but in their character and attitudes.
▪️Jaden McNeiley took 2nd in Radio Broadcasting and 2nd in Storytelling. The results for Radio were so close that it took two tie-breaker rules to determine 1st and 2nd.
▪️Arand Bartlett took 9th in Impromptu.
▪️Madison Griffin took 13th in Poetry.
Thanks to the KHS Speech team for a fun year! Looking forward to next year!

📖ND FAMILY PARTNERSHIP PROJECT📖
KPS is participating in a Family Partnership Project hosted by The ND Department of Public Instruction and we need your help! We're looking for local family members to join and participate. Some of the goals include:
▪️Learn from families, students, and teachers about the lessons from this year that they hope shape the plans for next year
▪️Join and learn from other teams from across the state in weekly virtual training and facilitation
▪️Learn how to work together to identify a clear problem and then co-create strategies to address the problem
▪️Learn how to use empathy interviews to hear from families and students who are most in need of changes or different supports
If you're interested or have other questions, please contact Mrs. Hennix at ahennix@mykps.us or 701-385-4996
