❄️ Winter Formal Postponed ❄️
Due to the current weather conditions and icy roads in the area, the Winter Formal Dance hosted by the Kenmare Student Council scheduled for January 31st at Kenmare High School has been postponed.
The safety of our students, families, and staff is our top priority, and we want everyone to travel safely without risk.
A new date for the dance will be announced soon. All purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled event.

🚗 After-School Pick-Up Traffic (3:00–3:40 PM)
To help reduce congestion and keep everyone safe during afternoon pick-up, the school board is asking for your help with traffic flow between 3:00 and 3:40 PM.
Please follow these guidelines:
➡️ If you are parked in the parking lot, turn left when exiting or go straight down a side street
⛔ Please avoid going northbound on 7th Ave when leaving the parking lot
⛔ If you are using the pick-up loop, avoid going south on 7th Ave
➡️ From the loop, turn right when exiting or continue down a side street
These small adjustments will help traffic move more smoothly and keep students, families, and staff safe during our busiest time of day.

Years of early mornings, hard practices, tough matches, and unforgettable moments have led to this night. You’ve represented Honker wrestling with grit, heart, and pride, and your impact on this program will last far beyond the mat.
A huge thank you to the families behind these athletes. Your time, dedication, sacrifices, rides to practice, support in the stands, and belief in this program are the foundation of Honker wrestling. This success belongs to you too.

Dear Honker Families,
The windchill is supposed to continue tomorrow and into the weekend. If you are uncomfortable sending your child to school tomorrow, or are unable to get them to school safely, their absence will be excused due to the weather. An absence tomorrow will not count toward the 10 allowed absences for highschool students. If your child is unable to attend tomorrow please notify us by calling the office in the morning or filling out the online absence form.

At this time, no decisions have been made. Our goal is simply to better understand current community thoughts, concerns, and possible benefits as we review state requirements and research from other districts.

📢 Military Recognition and Appreciation Night📢
Tonight our girls basketball team hosts Turtle Mountain with JV & Varsity games starting at 5:45pm.
We will be honoring ALL our military and service members tonight with free admission and free pop & popcorn coupon. SGT Johannsen from the National Guard will be presenting the game ball to the officials pregame and our girls basketball team will be supporting the National Guard camouflage uniforms.

The pop-up stores will be open from noon today until noon Friday. This is completely online and the products you order are shipped directly to your home! Dear Kenmare Families and Community Members,
We want to take a moment to address the increase in illness we are seeing and to reassure you that we are doing everything we can as a school to keep students and staff healthy.
Our custodial and classroom teams are working diligently each day to maintain a clean and sanitary learning environment. High-touch surfaces are being cleaned and disinfected repeatedly throughout the day, and each classroom is fogged twice daily to help reduce the spread of germs.
We kindly ask that if your child is sick, please keep them home and notify the school. There will be ample time and flexibility for students to make up missed work, and accommodations will always be provided. While distance learning is available as an option, we recognize that many students who are ill are not feeling well enough to participate, and that is completely understandable—health comes first.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and partnership as we navigate this together. Please know that our goal is to do everything possible to keep germs out, keep kids healthy, and keep learning moving forward in a safe and supportive way.
