📚COLLEGE APPLICATION MONTH📚
Kenmare first participated in the college application month activities in 2018. When seniors apply to a North Dakota college during their school’s event, Bank of North Dakota pays one $35 application fee per student.
College Application Month (CAM) is part of a national initiative known as the American College Application Campaign. The American Council on Education started this program in 2005 with a single high school in North Carolina. Today, it reaches more than 250,000 schools in all 50 states. The goal of CAM is to increase the number of first-generation and low-income students pursuing a college degree or other higher education credential. Nationally, this effort has been extremely effective in meeting these needs with schools indicating that up to 77% of the applicants on these days were in that demographic. In addition to applying for college, CAM also helps students and their parents learn about the FAFSA and begin that process.

Saturday, October 3rds home volleyball match vs Alexander has been CANCELLED! Please share with family and friends. Thank you!
Due to the rising COVID numbers within our school district and area it is very important to follow social/physical distancing guidelines and masks are strongly recommended at all school events. At this time we are not limiting attendance, but if numbers continue to rise we will be looking at reducing attendance at all home events. Also, just a reminder at home football games students are not to be running around the facility or playing football. Please have your child keep their football in the car or at home to help minimize this issue.

Tomorrow evening, the final home varsity football game of the regular season vs. Nedrose will be streamed on facebook live starting at 7pm. Working on trying to stream live on "Kenmare Honkers" youtube channel.

As per athleticnet.com the following Burke Central/Kenmare cross country runners are ranked in the top 50 runners in the United States as of September 22, 2020.
Anna Petersen is ranked 47th in the 3000 meter run for all 7th grade girls with a time of 13:07. Her parents are Kris and Sarah Petersen.
William Cook is ranked 13th in the 3000 meter run for all 8th grade boys with a time of 10:54.1. His parents are Josh and Kari Cook.
Information for tomorrow's Varsity football game at South Prairie:
-Game will start at 5 PM
-Game will NOT be streamed live
-Fans should maintain social distancing (no fan limitations)
-Fans are to park in East parking lot, as far north as possible
-Guest sideline will be on the North side of the football field (guest and home fans are on opposite sides of the field)
Please respect and follow South Prairies guidelines as we are their guest!

Update for 9/24 volleyball at Tioga:
The JH team and parents are asked to leave after the completion of their games in order to keep the number of fans low.
Please follow social/physical distancing guidelines and masks are recommended.
The games will be streamed on the NHFS Network (can buy a subscription).
Concessions are limited to pop, candy and popcorn.
