🩺FIRST DISTRICT HEALTH INFO🩺
First District Health Unit wants to remind you that all staff are eligible for COVID-19 vaccination – and the Pfizer vaccine is now authorized for everyone 12 and older! The vaccine is very effective at preventing COVID-19 in adolescents and teens. More people vaccinated = fewer sick kids and reduced risk to staff. Another benefit to vaccination: according to CDC recommendations, vaccinated people who are exposed to a positive case no longer need to quarantine if they are symptom-free! Students who are fully vaccinated will be able to continue to participate in summer activities, even if they are exposed to an active case of COVID-19.
The Pfizer vaccine is a two-dose series. A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after the second dose. To make the most of your summer, it’s a good idea to get vaccinated as soon possible.
Most children are due for school-required immunizations around age 11-12 and age 16. Please check with your provider or local public health unit to see if your child is due for any vaccinations. Whether you get your shots at First District, from your regular provider, or during your sports physical, make your appointment now and get it checked off your list – then go enjoy your summer! Megan Zimmer places 5th with 97. Her best 18 hole score of the season.
McKenna Mau places 12th with a score of 112, her 2nd best 18 holes of the season.
Rylee Hedberg posted a 150, Rylee improved her 2nd 9 holes by 9 strokes

MLS-K-B Fast-pitch softball beat the Stanley Blue Jays 16-1 this evening @ Stanley. The team is ranked 2nd in the Sub-Region heading into next weeks tournament beginning on Monday.
Tomorrow’s softball game vs Divide County has been cancelled!
JV Girls Golf had another good day on the course @ Wildwood (DLB). Rylee Hedberg shot a 70. McKenna Mau tied for 2nd with a 52, then had chip off and got 3rd.
